Residents of The Place at Corkscrew, the No. 1 selling community in Southwest Florida, have discovered homes and amenities built for today’s families – plus everything they love about their favorite vacation resort – right in their own community in Estero.

But, they’re not the only ones who have found just the right spot. The Lee Building Industry Association recently awarded developer Cameratta Companies with a top Award at the 2019 Industry Awards for Best Clubhouse at The Place at Corkscrew. The Industry Awards honors members for excellence in residential and commercial marketing, construction, design, sales and achievement.

The Lee Building Industry Association recently awarded developer Cameratta Companies with a top Award at the 2019 Industry Awards for Best Clubhouse at The Place at Corkscrew.

“We’re honored by the industry’s recognition, and believe it’s a reflection of our vision to create The Place as the spot where families will create warm memories, connect with neighbors and enjoy a setting surrounded by nature,” said Nick Cameratta, CEO of Cameratta Companies. “In addition to the grand clubhouse, the new Barefoot Bar & Grill Restaurant and the Bourbon Bar adds to the appeal for residents and prospective residents by expanding amenity offerings, along with a multi-purpose room for community events and private parties.”

Cameratta Companies pulls out all the stops when it comes to its amenities. A grand 12,500-square-foot clubhouse features two stories of fitness with all the latest strength and cardio equipment to keep residents healthy. Guests can find their zen in the movement studio or during a soothing spa massage, while little ones keep busy with books and activities at the Kid’s Club. When it’s time to socialize, residents can catch up with friends at the Café & Marketplace, or meet at the fire pits for after-dinner mingling and stargazing.

For the new Barefoot Bar & Grill Restaurant and the Bourbon Bar, Cameratta Companies Director of Design Laura Youmans envisioned the interiors as an industrial space with an urban vibe. A clean and cool design is achieved with a neutral color scheme and a blend of raw woods, exposed brick and unfinished metals.

“We balanced the functionality of the indoor-outdoor aspect of the space with a clean-lined elegance softened by greenery,” said Youmans. “We selected custom-finished chairs with a grey wash that ties into the Bourbon Bar and multi-purpose room.”

The handsome Bourbon Bar is imbued with a feeling of warmth that is enhanced by rich wood finishes and groupings of soft leather sofas and crocodile-embossed chairs that create intimate conversation areas. A multi-toned distressed oak wood floor is paired with a copper ceiling accented with dark wood beam and real bourbon barrels custom-designed into a niche.

The Bourbon Bar offers small plates and a menu of crafted cocktails and a curated collection of wine and fine bourbons.

Strategically positioned televisions punctuate the restaurant, bar, private dining area and the outside pool bar, making the clubhouse an ideal destination to meet with friends to enjoy televised sporting events. Just outside the Bourbon Bar, a fire pit completes the experience.

Responding to resident interest and popularity of pickleball, Cameratta Companies also recently announced the expansion of 4 new pickleball courts at the Clubhouse. Construction is scheduled for January, and will bring the total to eight pickleball courts within the community.

Additional resort-style amenities include a 12,000-square-foot pool and 600-square-foot spa, soothing rock waterfalls, a 100-foot waterslide and splash pad/interactive water feature, and an expansive pool deck with cabanas and fire pits. A fenced playground with swings, slides and shade structures is adjacent to two 33-foot Sky Run Zip Tracks.

The community’s active residents enjoy tennis, pickleball and bocce courts, a beach volleyball court, a half basketball court, and a tennis pro shop. There is also a picnic pavilion with multi-purpose grass field for outdoor sporting events and a 4,000-square-foot, fully enclosed dog park with benches, a water station and an unleashing area.

Surrounded by a setting of restored natural vegetation and enhanced wetlands, The Place is away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, yet close to the cultural activity nearby in Gulf Coast Town Center, Miromar Outlets and Coconut Point.

The Place at Corkscrew offers homebuyers a vast selection of one- and two-story residences from nationally recognized builders Pulte Homes and Lennar ranging from 1,674 to 4,800 square feet and starting from the $300,000’s to $700,000’s.

Offering a sought-after location south of Fort Myers and north of Naples, The Place is minutes from top-rated schools, Southwest Florida International Airport, world-class shopping, dining and golf, and the beautiful Gulf beaches.

Visit the models and tour the amenities Monday through Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 10am-6pm at 17067 Ashcomb Way Estero, FL 33928 or visit www.ThePlaceatCorkscrew.com.
