Cameratta Companies has contributed $25,000 to Barbara’s Friends – Golisano Children’s Cancer Fund as part of the Be a Friend campaign, supporting local children and families facing cancer and blood disorders.

The contribution comes during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and builds on the momentum of the month-long fundraising campaign, which includes a $60,000 matching gift challenge from presenting sponsor Florida Radiology Consultants.

“Cameratta Companies has a long history of supporting causes that strengthen our community, including Barbara’s Friends – Golisano Children’s cancer fund,” said Dominic Cameratta Co-Owner and Chief Financial Officer of Cameratta Companies. “When we learned about the Be a Friend campaign and challenge from Florida Radiology Consultants, we knew we wanted to help. We are proud to support children and families facing cancer and hope our gift inspires others to join us in making a difference.”

For more than 30 years, Barbara’s Friends has enhanced pediatric cancer care in Southwest Florida by funding programs and resources that support children and families beyond traditional medical treatment.

Donations help provide emotional and financial support, fertility preservation services, pediatric psychology, Child Life programs, Camp Boggy Creek experiences, end-of-treatment celebrations, college scholarships for survivors, stuffed animals for newly diagnosed patients, and other initiatives that improve quality of life and give families hope throughout their journey.

“We’re incredibly grateful for Cameratta Companies’ generosity and commitment to local children and families,” said Amy Helgeson, senior director of development for Lee Health Foundation. “Their support helps ensure that patients receiving care through Barbara’s Friends have access to vital programs and services that provide comfort, encouragement and hope throughout treatment. Gifts like this also remind our community that every donation can make a meaningful impact.”
